  • What is Model United Nations?

    Model United Nations, often abbreviated as MUN, is an educational simulation and academic activity where participants role-play as delegates representing different countries or organizations within the United Nations. It provides an opportunity for students or individuals to learn about diplomacy, international relations, and global issues. During MUN conferences, participants engage in debates, negotiations, and drafting of resolutions on various topics, following the rules and procedures similar to those used in actual United Nations sessions. MUN aims to enhance participants' understanding of international affairs, foster critical thinking, and develop skills such as public speaking, research, and diplomacy.

  • What is a delegate?

    In the context of Model United Nations (MUN), a delegate refers to an individual who represents a specific country or organization during MUN conferences or simulations. Delegates assume the role of diplomats or representatives of their assigned country or organization and participate in discussions, debates, and negotiations on various global issues. They are responsible for presenting their country's stance on the topics being discussed, engaging in diplomatic dialogue with other delegates, and working towards the development of resolutions or solutions to the issues at hand. Delegates research their assigned country's policies, interests, and perspectives in order to effectively represent and advocate for their country's position during the MUN conference.
